The VA Mobilizes Federal Agencies to Offer Free Legal Services to Help Veterans

To better serve those who have served, the United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has announced a new partnership with the departments of Labor, Justice, Defense, Homeland Security, the U.S. Navy, and others aimed at improving access to free legal services for Veterans in need. Two top concerns for veterans are access to health care and their disability rights and benefits, with another critically important and often unmet need being access to legal assistance.  The new partnership between the VA and other federal agencies, demonstrates their commitment to encourage and further the supply of pro-bono legal services available to our nation’s Veterans.   To find legal services for veterans in your community and for more information about the partnership, click here.
