The Just for Kids Streaming Collection for public libraries gives children—and their parents—a thoroughly kid-safe, advertisement-free media platform they can freely explore and enjoy.  Just for Kids has the educational videos children want to watch—Sesame StreetThe Electric CompanyThe Wubbulous World of Dr. SeussThe Berenstain BearsFranklin, and thousands more—plus songs, games, and other interactives that are sure to entertain, educate, and inspire young patrons.  Plus, the collection is ideal for librarians hosting a video storytelling hour, activities for preschoolers and early learners, an after-school or ESL/ELL program, homework help for students, or resources for homeschoolers that they can access anywhere, anytime.

Gale in Context - Elementary

Gale in Context – Elementary meets the research needs of students in Kindergarten through Grade 5. It features a developmentally appropriate, visually graphic interface, a subject-based topic tree search and full-text, age-appropriate, curriculum-related magazine, newspaper and reference content for information on current events, the arts, science, health, people, government, history, sports and more.

Junior Library Guild Digital (JLGDIG) is an unlimited synchronous access collection of ebooks and eAudio for students K-12. The content is refreshed every 30 days so there is always something new to read!

Novelist K-8 Plus

NoveList K-8 Plus is a comprehensive reading resource for fiction and nonfiction.  With a fun and intuitive interface, and extensive proprietary content, NoveList K-8 Plus will help you integrate reading across the curriculum and support your young readers.

World Book Early Learning

Early World of Learning, World Book Online’s early childhood digital resource, is a child’s first encyclopedia, eBook, and introduction to core early concepts.  With read-aloud across all functions, the 60 stories in “World of Reading” and “Trek’s Travels” tie learning together through videos, games, and printable activities.  Twelve stories are available in both Spanish and English, and the worksheets also offer written instructions in Spanish.  Classic songs, nursery rhymes, and fairy tales complete the program, and are often included in the lesson plan for each story.

Day by Day VA

DaybyDayVA is a family literacy calendar featuring a book recommendation, a song, an activity, a video and additional resource links for every day of the year.  Grouped by seasons and themes, the entries are intended to provide school readiness activities and behaviors in which caregivers can engage their little ones.
