Freading has 30,000+ eBooks all available at all times with no waiting. Freading has an especially strong collection of non-fiction titles. You will need to set up an account to use it.

One Click Digital

OneClickdigital is a free software for patrons to download e-audiobooks and ebooks directly to their iOS, Android, Kindle Fire, or Nook devices. Resources can also be downloaded onto a patron’s computer in order to transfer them to mobile devices. Patrons must create an account using their own library card from a subscribed library before downloading.

Zinio for Libraries

Zinio is a electronic newsstand that offers digital downloads of popular magazines. Patrons create accounts and access titles through their local library’s subscription. Magazines can be downloaded onto a patron’s computer and even read offline using mobile apps for IOS and Android devices.

Document Bank
Document Bank of Virginia (DBVa) is the Library of Virginia’s initiative to get documents into classrooms. Using primary sources, teachers can make history relevant to students while helping them learn and understand state standards. DBVa will teach students to be critical thinkers as they analyze the original documents and draw their own conclusions about Virginia’s past.

Residents of Virginia have access to a variety of digital resources to Virginia residents through their local public library. This is made possible with Library Service and Technology funding granted by the Institute of Museum and Library Services administered by the Library of Virginia.
